Nowadays, extreme weather and climate change is affecting and of us, so hopefully, this book and others in the series will help educate kids and adults about what can cause 10 of these dangerous natural disasters that can occur anywhere in the world, plus, how to spot them and what to do if they occur. There s even a link in the book that, if tapped on, takes you to a disaster survival website.

This book describes ten natural disasters in an introductory manner and with language aimed at children Each natural disaster is described in several paragraphs without a lot of details This book can be scary to kids, especially the younger ones The book also includes an emergency checklist At first I did not think it really belonged in a children book but as we read the list my youngster said he was glad that there is something we can do to prepare, so it served as something to put his worries aside. The book covers the following natural disasters DroughtsFloodsEarthquakesTsunamisHeat WavesAvalanchesWildfiresLandslidesWildfiresMeteoritesAli Julia review

Great book on Natural Disasters for kids This books gives kids a good overview of 10 types of natural disasters such as drought, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanoes Droughts cause animals and crops to die, warning such as never try to drive over a flooded river on the road, and volcanoes are open mountains Being prepared is an important concept in this book 5 tips are given to be prepared for natural disasters along with some facts to end the book nicely I recommend this book for curious kids Great book
